v1.43 and v1.44 - updates - Important notes

Versions 1.43 and 1.44 were recently released - Hyperion version 1.44 is available as of today.

Note that as of v1.44 the factory content (factory patches/user guide) are installed with a separately downloadable content installer.

You can download the content installer from Tracktion, but it will be provided on the Wavesequencer.com resources page too - here.

A reminder about the content installer is in the main plugin installer information:

Hyperion v1.44 will automatically list patches at the new default factory patches location - the UI now shows the complete path for the selected folder - if you need to change patches directory, click on the folder button next to the refresh button at the top left of the browser interface panel:

Here is the full list of updates and fixes for both releases:

released 10/17/23

IMPORTANT NOTE/CHANGE:
Factory content for v1.44 of Hyperion and onwards will be installed with a separately downloadable HyperionFactoryData installer.
The new factory content does not include new patches, however many of the factory patches are updated with enhancements, especially in terms of sustain pedal assignment and some tuning for the flute type patches.

Please make sure to run the factory data installer before launching Hyperion.
Hyperion will by default be set to list the patches at the new location - and the patch list will be empty unless you install the updated factory content, or point the Hyperion patch browser back to the old location (which is not recommended as you will not then get the improved patches).

When running the new factory content installer, patches and the user guide will be installed to:

Mac: /Users/Shared/Wavsequencer_Hyperion
Windows /"YourUserDirectory"/Documents/Wavesequencer_Hyperion

The factory patches will be located in the subdirectory - Patches/FactoryPatches

The original factory content folder from versions 1.43 and prior release will not be deleted by the installer (it's your choice to delete it if you don't need the original files or any content you saved there).
If you have saved your own new patches in that folder and want to browse them with the new updated factory content you will need to copy them to the new factory patches folder.
Hyperion's patch browser has been updated to more clearly show the currently selected patches path - and the number of patches found within that folder.
Hyperion still currently only shows the patch content for the currently selected folder, and does not show sub-folder patch content, so if you have multiple separate patch folders, you need to manually switch locations in the Hyperion UI to browse those.

On first launch, Hyperion v1.44 will copy the 'favorites' and 'favoriteNodes' data files over to a newly named application support folder too (Wavesequencer_Hyperion). Your favorites will be preserved, as the factory patches (and your own newly created patches) maintain the same unique IDs as before.

Bug fixes/enhancements:
-----------------------

Prevention of repeated selection of same preset when using the random button.

Fix for next/previous patch buttons logic after plugin editor is closed and re-opened (retain the knowledge of the last selected patch).

Fixed modwheel reset to 0 issue on plugin editor close/re-open.

Extra DC blocking on the final audio output is added to avoid some rare cases of DC offset drift.

Exprtk processor code update to the latest version for the 2 input math expression node.

New default MIDI cc assignments for the Macro knobs, ranging from 70 to 77 in line with typical MIDI implementations / cc controller definitions for synthesizer parameter control.

Folder browser UI now shows the full path and total number of patches found in the selected directory.

Bug fixes/enhancements:
-----------------------

File render issue in FL studio with variable block size enabled (dropped frame causes a glitch at the start of the audio file) - fixed.
Updates to improve audio block handling in general.

Fix to prevent reverb wet/dry control smoothing from 'dry' on plugin reset (which can also be triggered before file renders) - reverb wet/dry smoothing only enabled for delay changes (the reverb nodes are set to dry before delay time changes to prevent noise).

Meta-data update fix for file saving - populate the save dialog with the last saved/current state patch vs keeping the meta data from previously loaded patch.

Echo node initialization issue fix.

Mono-oscillator pan parameter issue fix.

Added code to make sure to clear all MIDI pedal input messages on transport stop.

Stability enhancements to potential race condition crashes with random/next/previous buttons under heavy load/rapid repeat triggering of those requests.
